A freestanding French country auberge in the heart of downtown at
Bay and Wellesley: from the lovely and intimate dining room, to the inviting
summer terrace, Bistro 990 has it all. Under the watchful and caring eye of
General Manager Victor Magalhaes, Bistro 990 continues to be the host restaurant of the Toronto
International Film Festival, the Toronto literary community, and visiting
celebrities.
Ambience abounds here – fresh flowers, tiled floors, French doors, vaulted
ceilings and attentive, unobtrusive service in the European tradition. Even the
celebrated little Citroën “Deux Chevaux” near the entrance adds a little touch of
magic to an evening at Bistro 990. But above all is the wonderful food and
a most interesting wine selection.
